55 NOT On Direct TV???

I'm sure this subject has to have been covered previously, but I just called Direct TV, and they're telling me that Channel 55 isn't available in Houston on Direct TV.  Isn't it considered a local channel???  Does anyone know if this is true?  This is a JOKE if it's really the case.  So if I want to watch the Katy/Northsore game tonight, I have to pull my Direct TV (which I pay over $100/month for) and try to find an antenna to connect to my TV.  Oh yeah, I don't even know if that will work.  Does Channel 55 come in with an antenna or do I need one of those converter boxes???  WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!  Thank god for technology!  I all I want to do is watch a stinkin' high school football game!

We tried disconnecting Direct Tv and adding antenna.  Still can't get channel 55.  I also would love to have watched the game
